Moto Z2 Play runs GFXBench has its specs confirmed once more
After already having been certified by Chinas TENAA, the upcoming Moto Z2 Play thought it would be wise to have a go at GFXBench. As such, the phones most important specs have been outed once more, basically confirming what the TENAA listing has already told us.
While GFXBenchs info screen doesnt list battery capacity, its important to note that Lenovo itself (Motorolas owner) has confirmed that the Z2 Play will come with a 3,000 mAh cell. Thats down from the 3,510 mAh unit inside its predecessor, the Z Play, which was widely hailed as one of the champions of battery life in 2016. That certainly wont be the case for the Z2 Play, unfortunately.
The next Play model will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen too, but changes things in the camera department. Gone is the 16 MP snapper of the Z Play, and in is a new 12 MP sensor on the rear. On the front the same 5 MP unit should be sitting.
The Moto Z2 Play will be powered by Qualcomms Snapdragon 626 SoC, a minor improvement over the SD625 inside the original Z Play. RAM will be 4GB, and built-in storage 64GB, probably expandable. The new device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
So when should we expect it to finally become official? The date could be June 8, as revealed by leaked press renders of the Z2 Play last month.

B O Beoplay H4 headphones combine Bluetooth listening with premium design
Maybe you missed out on the free B&O Beoplay H3 headphones that T-Mobile was handing out with the LG V20 and maybe the Beoplay H6 isnât to your liking. If thatâs the case, check out the new B&O Beoplay H4 cans.
Using the dedicated Beoplay app, you can adjust the tonality and sound staging of these over the ear headphones. The app is available for the Apple Watch as well as smartphones (iOS and Android). If you donât want to use Bluetooth (v4.2, AAC codec is supported) then you can use your phones 3.5mm headphone jack (a 1.2m/4ft long cable is supplied in the box).
B&O Beoplay H4
The Beoplay H4 were designed by Jakob Wagner, who also did the H6 and H3, among other things. The posh design includes lambskin leather for the headband and earcups, which are filled with memory foam, by the way. Finishing the look are polished and anodized aluminum elements.
The headphones pack 40mm drivers with a 20-20,000Hz frequency response. They weigh a hefty 235g and their 600mAh battery promises up to 19 hours of playback time over Bluetooth (it takes 2.5 hours to charge them back up). There are three control buttons on the headphones and one omnidirectional microphone.
B&O Beoplay H4
One last thing - price. A pair of B&O Beoplay H4 cans will set you back $300/â¬250. That matches the US price of the H6, but the H6 will set you back â¬300 in Europe. The H6 lacks Bluetooth, however, you needed the $400/â¬400 H7 if you wanted wireless playback.

Sony Xperia XA Ultra is getting updated to Android Nougat
The latest smartphone to be on the receiving end of an update to Android Nougat is Sonys Xperia XA Ultra from last year. The handset launched in July with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and now the time has finally come for it to get a taste of last years Android release.
At the moment, only two versions of the XA Ultra have been lucky enough to receive the update, namely the ones bearing the model numbers F3211 and F3212. That said, we expect the over-the-air rollout to make its way to all of the different XA Ultra variations in due course.
After applying the update (once your phone notifies you that its available), youll be on build number 36.1.A.0.179. This should be the same for all XA Ultra versions.

These might be the front panels for Googles upcoming Pixel and Pixel XL handsets
Google and HTC have really been mystifying Nexus fans over the last few months. At this point in time, we are quite certain that the latter will produce and out two smartphones for Google this year, originally codenamed Sailfish and Marlin. Beyond that, however, we know little details about the pair. Even the Nexus branding seems uncertain, as more and more rumors are hinting at a new Pixel moniker. A few days ago, the Nexus launcher was officially rebranded to match said title, so, we feel fairly confident when assuming the Pixel and Pixel XL are the two devices we have to look forward to.
Pixel XL/Marlin front panel
As for design, we do already have a few renders to go by, but nothing really clear along the line of live shots. However, a new source has now provided a few high-res photos of what are said to be the front panels of the two devices. These do also come with measurements. The smaller, dubbed "S1" measures 4.99 inches in diagonal, while the bigger, "M1" is 5.46 inches. This does mostly coincide with previous specs rumors and the source in question is a parts dealer in Hong Kong, with a good track record when it comes to leaks.

Screen size aside, we can see that HTC has gone for a quite clean design. Some highlights include a central cutout for the light and proximity sensors, right beneath the earpiece, a single front-facing snapper and and empty bottom bezel - in tune with Googles typical on-screen control scheme. As for other specs, we currently believe the 5-inch Pixel or Sailfish phone will have a resolution of 1080p, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 32 or 128GB of on-board storage. The camera setup is said to consist of a 12MP rear snapper and an 8MP selfie one. We can also expect a USB Type-C port, a fingerprint scanner on the back, bottom-firing speakers, all the usual connectivity options including Bluetooth 4.2, and a 2,770 mAh battery.
Pixel /Sailfish front panel
Most of these specs will likely be shared with the bigger Pixel XL or Marlin, except for the already mentioned 5.5 or so inch display, likely with QHD resolution. The chipset might also get a bump up to the Snapdragon 821 and rumors put the battery at 3,450 mAh.
