Microsoft left a lot of people stunned at this E3 by announcing not one, but two Xbox One sequels. The first one is Xbox One S - slimmer, and slightly more powerful in order to handle 4K and HDR playback, while the Scorpio is coming next year with even better hardware for VR experience.
The Xbox One S is 40% slimmer than its One sibling, and has a slightly better hardware, but also drops the Kinect port (youll need an adapter to use Kinect if you want). The slim mode will be coming in 2TB, 1TB, and 500GB flavors.
Today Microsoft announced the 2TB One S console will begin shipping on August 2. It costs $399, â¬399 or £350 and you can already pre-order it.
The 1TB($349) and 500GB($299) models are expected later this y ear, but the release date is yet to be confirmed.
And if you are wondering which Xbox One you want to buy, just remember that from now on all Xbox One games will be available on PC as well. Yes, including Gears of War 4 and Halo Wars 2.
